A short personal project on Unreal 5.
My goal was to create a simple scene that would let me practice the engine's art and environnement-related tools, as well as a few things I was curious about.
This was inspired by an old sktech of mine for a digital painting, and places I visited during a trip in Navarre, Spain.
I modified some of the landscape materials from the starter assets to jumpstart my work and downloaded a pack of Quixel Megascan tress to save some time.
Everything else is my work. The Landscape and custom grass. Meshes for the tower and rocks, with layered materials for the tower and a dynamic material for the rocks and their moss so I could move and stretch them any way I want. I also had some fun with the lighting, a flow map, and even an event graph to animate the wind vane with random rotations and timings.
